Computer Planet is a computer hardware and software retailer and wholesaler that has operated in Nepal since 2000. We have stores in New Road, Kathmandu and in Biratnagar, and an online catalogue listing 181 laptops from Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Apple, each with its price and full specifications. We deliver across Nepal and publish our warranty terms before you pay. This page sets out what that means in practice, including the limits of our warranty, so you can decide with the full picture.

What you can expect when you buy from us
Prices and full specifications before you visit
Each laptop listing shows its price and a full specification table, covering the processor model, memory slots, storage type, display, ports and GPU power where available. You can shortlist at home and arrive with specific questions. The product page is the reference for price and stock. If anything on a listing looks inconsistent, ask us, and we will confirm the exact configuration in writing before you pay.
A range across brands and budgets
The catalogue runs from entry-level study laptops to RTX 5070 Ti gaming machines and MacBook Pro. Because we stock several brands, our advice isn't tied to one manufacturer. We can compare, for example, an Acer Nitro, an HP Victus and a Lenovo LOQ at the same budget, side by side.
Two stores where you can see the laptop first
In Kathmandu and Biratnagar you can compare keyboards, screens and weight in person. Ask us to open the box and run through the hardware with you before you take the laptop home, so you can check the configuration and the serial number match your invoice.
Terms you can read before paying
Our full warranty policy is published, including what it doesn't cover. We summarise it honestly below, because a warranty is only useful if you know its limits.
Delivery and payment for buyers outside the Valley
We deliver across Nepal and accept common digital payment methods. Before ordering, confirm the delivery charge, the expected time for your district, and the payment options available for your order.
What our warranty covers, and what it does not
These points summarise our published policy. Your product's warranty card may add brand-specific details.
Topic | What the policy says |
|---|---|
Coverage | Hardware defects and manufacturing faults, as defined by the original manufacturer |
Proof needed | The original warranty card is mandatory for any claim; an invoice alone is not enough |
Early faults | A significant hardware fault within 5 days of purchase may qualify for replacement or refund, if returned in original packaging with all accessories, the invoice and the warranty card |
Not covered | Physical or liquid damage; removed or tampered seals; repair by anyone other than Computer Planet or our authorized service partners; damage from unstable electrical supply; software, viruses and data |
Battery | Battery-backup warranty is limited to 6 months and applies only if the battery is effectively dead (under 10 minutes of backup); normal wear is not covered |
Screens | Minor dead pixels are covered only beyond the brand's acceptable limit; the policy excludes screens and screen cables on touch-enabled laptops and all-in-one PCs |
Repair time | Allow 3–5 weeks when parts must be replaced |
Your data | Back up before submitting a device; we are not responsible for data loss during repair |
What this means for you:
Keep the warranty card with your invoice.
Use a surge-protected power strip, since damage from unstable electrical supply is excluded.
Back up regularly.
If warranty length matters to your decision, ask us who provides the warranty for your specific brand and model, and for how long, and get the answer in writing.
If you are buying a gaming laptop
We list 59 gaming configurations, from RTX 3050 to RTX 5070 Ti, across Acer Nitro and Predator, Lenovo LOQ and Legion, ASUS TUF and ROG, HP Victus and OMEN, and Dell Alienware. Gaming laptops that share a graphics-card name can still differ in GPU power (TGP), memory slots and screen. Our listings state these where available, and we can compare two configurations for you.

Tell us your workload and we will narrow the list
You are | Tell us | Where to start |
|---|---|---|
A student | Your course, the software it requires, and how often you carry the laptop | |
An IT professional | Your tools, whether you run virtual machines or containers, and your monitor setup | Ask whether memory is soldered or expandable on your shortlist |
A gamer | Your main games, target resolution and budget | |
A business | Quantity, roles, minimum specification, invoice details and delivery date |
For business quotations, send the number of laptops, the applications each role uses, operating-system and licensing needs, invoice requirements and the delivery location. We will quote exact models in writing. Bulk pricing and any extra services apply only when confirmed in the quotation.
How to check any laptop seller in Nepal, including us
Whichever shop you choose, these checks protect you:
Get the exact model code and configuration on the invoice, not only the series name.
Ask for a VAT invoice and keep it with the warranty card.
Ask who provides the warranty (the seller, the distributor or the brand), how long it lasts, and where claims are handled.
Check seals and serial numbers at unboxing, and compare the serial number with the invoice.
Get early-fault and return terms in writing, including the number of days and the condition the laptop must be in.
Pay in a way that leaves a record, such as a bank transfer, card or wallet.

Frequently asked questions
Are Computer Planet's laptops genuine?
We sell new laptops, and every unit comes with a warranty card. You can verify the model, serial number and seals when the box is opened, ideally in store with our staff. If you have any doubt about a unit, raise it before you leave or within the early-fault period.
Do you deliver outside Kathmandu?
Yes, we deliver across Nepal. Delivery charges, timing and payment options depend on your location and order; our guide explains how delivery works in all 77 districts.
Are you open on Saturday?
No. Both stores are open Sunday to Friday, 10 AM to 7 PM.
What do I need to make a warranty claim?
Bring the laptop, its original warranty card and your invoice. Back up your data first, and allow 3–5 weeks if parts need replacing. See the full warranty policy for exclusions.
Can you help me choose between two laptops?
Yes. Send us both product links and describe what you will use the laptop for. We will compare processor, memory, graphics, display and upgrade options in plain terms.
